Governance & Structure

IDPP is governed by a 14-member Executive Council supported by three functional committees, ensuring accountability, transparency and professional integrity across all operations.

IDPP is registered as a professional association in accordance with the provisions of Article 21 of the Constitution of Zambia and Cap 119 of the Laws of Zambia, which provides for freedom of association and the right to form and operate professional bodies.

The Institute operates as a non-profit making organization with a mandate to protect the interests of Doctorate Degree holders and Professors, safeguard academic integrity, and contribute to national economic development through advanced knowledge and expertise.

International affiliation is welcomed — Doctors, researchers and Professors from other countries who meet the requisite criteria are accepted as full members of the Institute, with their qualifications validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority.
